CW Government Travel Receives Task Order to Provide Travel Management Services for the United States General Services Administration
SAN ANTONIO, Dec. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The United States General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded a task order to CW Government Travel (CWGT) to provide electronic travel services.
CWGT, part of the Carlson family of brands and services, will provide federal travelers with all necessary travel management support including planning and estimating travel, obtaining necessary authorizations, managing reservations and processing reimbursements.
The contract is valued at $10 million for a base period of 23 months with options that would extend the agreement for a total of nine years.
CWGT's product, E2 Solutions, has been selected by other government offices, including the Department of Labor, Department of State, Agency for International Development, Small Business Administration, Holocaust Memorial Museum and the National Business Center, which supports 17 smaller federal agencies.
"The General Services Administration award demonstrates the value of our eTravel program to federal agencies," said Scott Guerrero, CWGT's chief operating officer. "Our company's commitment to excellence and unique, lowest- fare guarantee allow agencies to better manage the total cost of travel."
This award is another step toward GSA eTravel's government-wide initiative to reduce the paperwork and administration burden on both travelers and agencies. To that end, E2 Solutions is designed to trim all aspects of travel expense in an easy-to-adopt, train-and-implement package.
