National Notification Network Provides Essential Communication Link for Large California High School
3n Mass Notification System to Be Used for Both Emergency and Routine Communication With Parents and Guardians
GLENDALE, Calif., Nov. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- National Notification Network (3n), a leading provider of mass notification systems, today announced that Laguna Hills High School in Laguna Hills, Calif., is implementing the company's flagship product, the 3n Mass Notification System. The school, which has a student body of 1,900, will utilize the system for both emergency and non-emergency communication with parents and guardians.
"Since we have a large student population, it is essential for us to be able to establish quick communication with parents and guardians as our needs dictate," said Ed Adams, principal of Laguna Hills High School. "The 3n System gives us an easy, cost-effective way to accomplish this task. It also allows us to track receipt of the messages so we know our information is reaching the right people at the right time."
Based on instructions from Laguna Hills administrators, 3n uploads contacts and notifies them instantly of any situation requiring quick and secure dissemination of information. The message is relayed to all modes of communication used by recipients, including phone (home, work, cell), email, pager, fax and wireless devices such as laptops, PDAs and BlackBerries. The system continually sends messages to respondents until a report is generated confirming receipt of the notification.
The 3n System is a customizable communication platform based on application of existing data, telephone and Internet technologies. As an outsourced technology, the 3n System frees Laguna Hills from having to purchase additional equipment or software, an important consideration for institutions such as schools that traditionally have limited budgets. Laguna Hills received funding for the 3n System from Susan Calder of Regency Real Estate.
According to Cinta Putra, CEO and co-founder of 3n, "A mass notification system is becoming an essential tool for institutions such as schools that often need to notify thousands of people at the drop of a hat. Having the 3n System in place ensures that Laguna Hills is prepared and ready to communicate with parents in any type of urgent situation."
